Cold Springs Pony Express Station

National Register ruins of an 1860–61 Pony Express station on Loneliest Road (US-50), with one of the best-preserved stone station shells on the Nevada segment of the trail. A marked BLM day-use trailhead on the south side of the highway leads ~1.5 miles one way across open sage to the standing walls; a later Cold Springs/Overland station complex sits near the highway. Managed by BLM Stillwater Field Office as part of the Pony Express National Historic Trail.
