Blair

Short-lived Silver Peak district boomtown built 1906 when the Pittsburg-Silver Peak Gold Mining Company laid out a company town three miles north of Silver Peak rather than pay inflated townsite prices. By 1907 it hosted Nevada's largest stamp mill (100 stamps, later 120) and a spur of the Silver Peak Railroad; the mill closed in 1915 and the town emptied. Massive concrete mill foundations and scattered stone ruins remain on the hillside above the old townsite.
