Teels Marsh

Mineral County, NV

Coordinate verified

Broad alkaline playa and historic borax source in southwestern Mineral County, now part of the Marietta Wild Burro Management Area on BLM land. Late-19th-century borax works fed early Pacific Coast markets; today the white flats, residual earthworks, and free-roaming burros make a stark geology-and-landscape stop west of the Candelaria–Marietta country. Collecting focus is landscape/geology interpretation, not unprotected diggings.
