Short-lived Eureka & Palisade Railroad way town and mining camp that peaked about 1874–75 with a hotel and saloons. After the narrow-gauge line pushed through to Eureka the settlement emptied; only rubble, cellars, and later ranch debris mark the Diamond Valley site.
