Desert health-spa resort built by radio evangelist Curtis Howe Springer from the 1940s on the shore of Soda Dry Lake, later reclaimed and operated as the California State University Desert Studies Center on the western edge of Mojave National Preserve. Public can walk the historic palm-lined lane, pond, and lakebed edge from the signed Zzyzx Road exit off I-15 near Baker.
