Basalt-overhang rock-art site at Pete’s Summit in the Toquima Range holding one of the Great Basin’s largest protected pictograph assemblages (red, white, yellow, and black paintings; 300+ figures; NRHP). Humboldt-Toiyabe NF maintains a free campground and a short (~0.5 mi) trail to a steel viewing grate that keeps visitors off the painted walls.
