Sylvania

Remote mining camp in the Sylvania Mountains southwest of Palmetto, with scattered cabins, vehicles, and mill remnants still standing on public desert roads. Visited on standard Esmeralda backroad loops with Pigeon Spring and Palmetto; remains are more substantial than many thin camps in the county. Pin the GNIS populated-place point as the townsite visitor center of mass.
