Preserved Chihuahuan Desert mining and stage-stop townsite just south of Lordsburg. Originally Mexican Springs / Grant / Ralston, later Shakespeare; adobe and wood buildings, saloon, assay office, and cemetery remain on a privately owned historic property that offers paid guided tours. One of New Mexico’s best-kept intact ghost towns rather than a scattered ruin field.
