Pearce grew after the 1894 Commonwealth gold strike on the east flank of the Dragoon Mountains in Cochise County. A few commercial ruins and a cemetery remain near the modern hamlet; surrounding range country holds claim scars. Easy road access from US-191; respect private property and leave artifacts where they lie.
