Signature Kofa National Wildlife Refuge hike into a steep desert canyon holding one of Arizona’s few native California fan-palm (Washingtonia filifera) stands. Short (~0.5–1 mi one-way) rocky trail from the end of Palm Canyon Road into a north-facing cleft of the Kofa Mountains; classic Sonoran Desert bighorn and cholla country east of US-95 between Quartzsite and Yuma.
