Long-worked eastern Nevada placer gold camp (1872–mid-20th century) on the west slope of the Snake Range. A 12-mile gold-bearing vein discovery sparked hydraulic mining; cemetery stonework and scattered mill/cabin ruins remain on public land approaches west of Great Basin National Park.
