Ghost Town

Newhouse

Beaver County, UT

Coordinate verified

Early-1900s company town built by financier Samuel Newhouse for the Cactus Mine on the west flank of the San Francisco Mountains. Stone walls, mill foundations, and scattered ruins remain west of Frisco on the desert approach from UT-21 — a quieter companion to the better-known Frisco charcoal-kiln district.
