Highest peak in the Mount Rose Wilderness (10,776 ft) on the Carson Range above Reno and Lake Tahoe. The classic summit trail from the SR-431 Mount Rose Highway trailhead (~8,900 ft) climbs through meadows and Galena Creek headwaters to a 360° Tahoe–Truckee Meadows–Carson Valley view.
