Short-lived 1860s silver camp on the west slope of the White Mountains east of Benton, organized after rich float discoveries and the Montgomery Mining District boom. A contemporary of Benton that rose and faded within a few years—today mostly foundations and mining scars for desert-history travelers working the Benton–Montgomery Pass corridor. Quiet Mono County counterpart to better-known Bodie-area camps farther west.
