Prominent Quaternary cinder cone on the Lunar Crater Back Country Byway—named for its high-backed ‘easy chair’ silhouette. Part of the Lunar Crater volcanic field (National Natural Landmark district) with scoria, volcanic bombs, and large olivine/clinopyroxene crystals. A short dirt spur from the byway reaches the foot of the cone for day hikes into the crater.
