Roadside historic waystation site on the old Esmeralda road at a pair of natural springs south of Gardnerville / Carson Valley—also known as Round Tent Ranch or Sprague’s, later Carter’s Station. Nevada State Historic Marker interprets the violent 1860s station story; little structural fabric remains beyond the marker and spring landscape, but it is an authentic overland-route field stop on public highway right-of-way.
