Abandoned Jarilla Mountains mining camp (also known historically as Jarilla) in the Orogrande mining district west of US 54. Renamed Brice about 1904 when the El Paso and Northeastern Railroad spur served turquoise, gold, copper, and iron claims; today scattered foundations and district roads remain in public-land mining country—not the still-occupied Orogrande highway strip or already-scouted Turquoise camp farther north.
